Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU), located in Beppu, Oita, provides a path to global citizenship through our undergraduate programs in International Management and Asia Pacific Studies. English medium students can apply without any previous Japanese language background, although they have to take Japanese classes in their first year. At APU, a student body that is 50% international, represented by over 90 countries/regions, and a faculty that is also 49% international, provides our students with a vibrant learning environment encompassing cross-cultural understanding, mutual respect, and cooperation. International applicants are also eligible to apply for our Tuition Reduction Scholarships (30%, 50%, 65%, 80% or 100%) which are valid until graduation. At the time of graduation, our multilingual and global-minded students are successful in pursuing careers not only in Japan, but across the globe, with a 96% job placement rate; playing a leading role in international society.
