Shizuoka
Shizuoka University is a national University with two campuses located in Shizuoka city and Hamamatsu. Shizuoka prefecture is well located on the major transport route between Tokyo and Kyoto. There are six faculties at Shizuoka University; Humanities, Education, Informatics, Science, Engineering and Agriculture. There are also two research institutes at Shizuoka, those of Electronics and Green Science. In 2015 Shizuoka introduced the Asia Bridge Program, offering scholarships to students from Asia, including Myanmar. The bachelor program for Asia Bridge is offered in Japanese in six faculties, and four STEM field departments offer a two year Master’s studies in English. The University offers Japanese language lessons for all international students for free of charge.
